Server Consolidation Potential

The Server Consolidation Overview is one of the unique deliverables of DNA®. Based on aggregated actual end user demand and available network capacity, DNA produces an overview showing the customer in detail where consolidation opportunities exist.

Based on the customer’s possible consolidation or deployment scenarios, the server consolidation overview describes the consolidation potential.

These deployment scenarios may include:

• Citrix
• Domino Web Access
• Local mail file replicas
• With and without heavy users
• Network compression enabled/disabled
• Other customer-specific scenarios

The consolidation overview includes recommendations for optimization within the planned deployment, as well as other options for which the customer would like to have scenarios calculated. These options include Citrix implementations, platform choices, or organizational choices in terms of data center scenarios and strategic outsourcing.
